Groovy Hyperbolic Form
This sculpture has an exponential growth form, with negative curvature everywhere, similar to a portion of the hyperbolic plane embedded in Euclidean 3-space. The grooves are inspired by natural growth forms found in cactuses and corals. This pieces is about 13 inches across.
